I don’t have a video for this recipe.
If I had a photo, I would most certainly use it. That is... unless the photo I have sucks. For now, you'll just have to picture a big heaping helping of
Upside Down Apple Turnovers
...in your mind.

Upside Down Apple Turnovers
Makes 6
Print
Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed if frozen
1 Granny Smith apple, cored and sliced thinly
Approximately 3 tablespoons maple syrup
¼ -1/3 cup sliced almonds
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
Powdered sugar for dusting
Directions
Preheat oven to 400
Line a sheet pan with parchment paper, and cut one sheet of puff pastry into 6 rectangles
Imagine the rectangles laid out on the sheet pan, and drizzle maple syrup onto those rectangles a little smaller than the puff pastry sheets will be
Then add the almonds, brown sugar and finally the apples overlapping on each
Cover each with a rectangle of puff pastry, and gently press down on the apples, also pressing down on the edges
Brush each top with the beaten egg, and bake 20-25 minutes or until golden brown
Let cool a minute before flipping over and serving with a dusting of powdered sugar
