I don’t have a video for this recipe.
If I had a photo, I would most certainly use it. That is... unless the photo I have sucks. For now, you'll just have to picture a big heaping helping of

Heinz Bean & Sausage Pizza

Beans and sausage is a nice combination - but on a pizza? And since Heinz sells this in the UK but not here - we made our own...and loved it.

Makes two 12 inch pizzas

Ingredients

  • 1 - 14 ounce can Heinz Beans in Tomato Sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • Kosher salt and coarse ground black pepper
  • One pound pizza dough stretched to about 12 inches
  • Approximately 1/2 pound pork or chicken sausages, fully cooked and sliced into 1/8 inch rounds
  • 4 ounces shredded cheese, you choose but nothing orange please

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 500
  2. Drain beans but reserving the sauce
  3. To the sauce add the onion & garlic powder, red pepper flakes, tomato paste and a pinch of salt & pepper - mix well to combine
  4. Stretch dough into two 12 inch pizzas, spread 1/2 the sauce on each, top with 1/2 the beans, 1/2 the cheese and finally half the sausage
  5. Bake until brown, bubbly and beautiful, 12-15 minutes
  6. Slice and serve
