Hard Boiled Eggs

Makes as many as you want - Does this really need a description?

Ingredients

  • eggs
  • cold water

Directions

  1. If you have a push pin, carefully poke a hole in the fat end of the egg. It won't break, but can help prevent it from cracking, plus make peeling a bit easier. That said, you can skip it with no problem.
  2. Put eggs in a pot and add enough water to cover them by about an inch - don’t cover the pot
  3. Put on high heat, and bring to a rolling boil
  4. Once it reaches that, turn off the heat, put a lid on the pot and leave for 12 minutes
  5. Remove the lid, carefully pour off the very hot water and re-fill with cold water and a lot of ice to stop the cooking
