I don’t have a video for this recipe.
If I had a photo, I would most certainly use it. That is... unless the photo I have sucks. For now, you'll just have to picture a big heaping helping of

...in your mind.

Filipino Adobo Wings

We love wings, and these are not just crazy good, but also super simple. Seven ingredients, slightly more than 30 minutes of your time and you'll be saying "bakit hindi ko ito ginawa dati?" - why haven't I made these before?

Make a couple dozen wings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup vinegar, white/apple cider or a combo of both
  • 6 cloves garlic, smashed
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ground pepper
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 dozen chicken wings

Directions

  1. Combine soy, vinegar, garlic, brown sugar, pepper and bay leaves in a large bowl - mix well to combine
  2. Add the chicken, turning pieces to make sure they all get coated, then cover and marinate up to a couple hours
  3. When ready to cook, heat a pan large enough to hold the wings, and add a tablespoon or so of oil
  4. Remove wings from marinade, shake off excess and place into the pan, brown a couple minutes on each side
  5. Add the marinade from the bowl to the pan, bring to a boil, turn down to a simmer and cover for 30 minutes
  6. You're done, remove and serve
