I don’t have a video for this recipe.
If I had a photo, I would most certainly use it. That is... unless the photo I have sucks. For now, you'll just have to picture a big heaping helping of
Aussie Burger
...in your mind.

Aussie Burger

There's not much more that could be added to this crazy collection - but guess what - it works...really well. Thanks @tinyjk for the viewer recipe.

Makes one (but a damn big one)

Ingredients

  • Two - 1/4 pound ground beef balls
  • 2 slices cheese of your choice
  • 2 bacon rashers (that's Aussie for pieces of bacon)
  • 1 canned pineapple ring, or fresh would be delightful
  • 1 thick round slice of yellow onion
  • 1 egg
  • Burger bun
  • Lettuce & tomato
  • 3 canned beet slices
  • Bbq sauce

Directions

  1. Heat flattop to medium high and add a little oil, then put on the onion and pineapple - cook until beautifully golden, then remove
  2. At the same time add the bacon, and cook to your desired crispness, and also remove
  3. Just as the bacon is finishing, add a little more oil and smash the patties flat - season with salt & pepper
  4. Time to add the egg and let cook - a runny yolk is a good thing here
  5. When you flip then, add cheese and allow to melt, and when done remove
  6. Toast the buns in the bacon grease, then remove & build: bottom bun, bbq sauce, lettuce, tomato, beet slices, patties, onion, bacon, pineapple, egg and top bun
  7. Good fricking luck getting your jaw to open wide enough
