4 Air Fryer Chicken Recipes
We love chicken and we love an air fryer - and you'll love these. And if you want more, here's our last air fryer chicken day.
1.5 tablespoons Sweet Hot Rub, recipe here or your favorite bbq seasoning
1/2 egg white, or as close as you can get
Cornstarch
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
Wings
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon coarse black pepper
1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 pound chicken wings
1/4 cup mayo
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Shake 'n Bake, or your favorite crumb type coating
Quesadilla
1 large, cooked chicken breast
Shredded Monterey jack cheese
4 - 8 inch flour tortillas
Italian seasoning
Red pepper flakes
Directions
Breasts
Preheat air fryer to 375
Combine all ingredients, except chicken in a small bowl, mix well and brush on chicken, both sides
Use cooking spray on air fryer rack, and put in chicken
Cook until 160-165 degrees (approximately 12-14 minutes) flipping and brushing again halfway through
Popcorn
Preheat air fryer to 400
Cut thighs into bite sized pieces, and put into a bowl
Add the seasoning, egg white, 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and the baking powder - mix well
Put about a cup of cornstarch in a bowl or on a plate, very lightly coat the pieces, shake off excess then put onto the cooking spray greased air fryer rack
Spray the tops, and cook 5 minutes, then flip over, spray again and cook another 5
Wings
Preheat air fryer to 400
Combine salt, pepper, chili powder and garlic powder in a small bowl, mix well and season both sides of wings
Put mayo & soy in a large bowl and mix to combine, coat wings with sauce then dredge with the Shake 'n Bake
Put on a sprayed rack, spray the tops, bake 8 minutes, flip, spray again and cook another 8 minutes
Quesadilla
Preheat air fryer to 400
Shred chicken breast into a large bowl, add cheese (about 1/2 as much cheese as chicken) and mix to combine
Put half the mixture on 2 of the tortillas, sprinkle with Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes to your liking, top with remaining tortillas, then top each with more cheese
